“Gender Mainstreaming on Stream: Follow Up Higher!”
Zvejnieki, Latvia, 6th – 12th August 2005
The training course “Gender Mainstreaming on Stream: Follow Up Higher!” JASMA together with partner organisations has organised for youth leaders, youth activists and youth workers from Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine with the overall aim to promote equal participation of young men and women in the framework of the EU YOUTH programme.
This aim should be achieved by raising the competence of youth workers enabling them to recognize arising gender issues and deal with these situations during the youth exchange or youth initiative projects.
Objectives of the course
- To share and evaluate experience and examples of good practises of the participants in working on gender issues with young people;
- To explore challenges and problems in promoting of gender equality and to find solutions to overcome them;
- To elaborate new methods for working on gender issues with young people and for promotion of gender equality;
- To promote co-operation among youth NGOs and to work out future ideas and follow-up activities;
