International Youth Day

On 12th August in Riga, in the Congress House and in the Kronvald’s Park celebration of International Youth Day and Day of Youth Culture took place. JASMA was actively participating in this event.

Youth organisation, groups, clubs, and all other kind of initiatives from all over Latvia were sharing their theatre and video projects, organising creative workshops and sharing information about opportunities of young people in Latvia and in Europe. At the big stage during the whole day different local bands were playing, including such as Astro‘n’Out and Hospitāļu iela. The celebration of the Youth day was organised by the National Youth Council of Latvia in co-operation with the Ministry of Children and Family affairs.

JASMA has presented the organisation and the projects we have, were providing information about the campaign “All Different – All Equal” Council of Europe, were proposing to all the guests and the participants of the Youth say to express their opinion about what diversity means for them, and to draw the human rights in the way they understand.

The whole event was very successful, interesting and exciting – our special thanks to everybody, who took part in preparation and realisation of our stall and all the activities we made!
