International training course “Take Your Part!”
From 21st till 29th of April, in Sigulda (Latvia), JASMA has organised the international training course “Take Your Part!” in close co-operation with organisations “Austeja Friends” (Lithuania), “Childhood Academy” (Estonia) and Youth Centre of Jewish Community of Lubeck (Germany).
The main aim of the training course was to develop competences of youth workers and leaders, necessary for working with the Russian-speaking minority young people in the field of non-formal education, thus promoting inclusion and participation of young people into the EU YOUTH programme.
During the training course we were working with the themes of non-formal and intercultural learning, the questions of active participation and citizenship, the problems of stereotypes and sense of belonging. Besides, we have presented the EU YOUTH programme as opportunity for realising one’s ideas.
Youth leaders and youth workers from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Germany have taken part in the training course.
The project of the training course was supported by the Latvian National Agency of the EU YOUTH programme.
