"Baltic Coast" cup in "What? Where? When?" intellectual game.

This thursday was the passing stage's second game of international synchronous cup "Baltic Coast" in "What? Where? When?" of Riga Intellectual Games club.
[JASMA] took 14-th place.

Today was the 3rd game of Riga cup season in intellectual game "What? Where? When?".
Our teams' results:

[JASMA]'s "What? Where? When?" game

Today our organization's team organized a "What? Where? When?" game of Riga Championship in Riga Intellectual Games club.
The game commenced in intense conditions, but came out good in the end.
Thanks to everyone who participated, prepared, helped, organized and supported!

"What? Where? When?", "Baltic Coast", 1st game

This thursday was the passing stage's first game of "What? Where? When?" synchronous cup "Baltic Coast". The passing stage consists of 3 games and will commence in winter and spring 2008, but with fall starts a new season in the framework of this cup.
This time [JASMA] got 17th place.

Intellectual game "What? Where? When?" Riga championship season's opening.

Today was the first game of Intellectual game "What? Where? When?" Riga championship season 2008. Our organization's team have participated in it for some years.

Intellectual game "What? Where? When?" Champion's Cup

Continuing Riga's Club of Intellectual Games tradition, the 2007 champion - "Team of intellectuals" - organized a game for the Champion's Cup. As one of the strongest club's teams, [JASMA] with pleasure participated in this game. Our result - 4th place.

Be non-formal!

Yesterday, on 22nd of September, in Riga, JASMA has actively participated in the event “Be non-formal!”, which was organised for promotion of youth NGOs – so we were speaking about ourselves and about our projects, spreading information about the campaign “All Different – All Equal” of the Council of Europe, and about the opportunities of non-formal education, as well as we were involving all the interested people into small interactive activities.

Thanks a lot to everybody, who was preparing and participating in the event!

Students League's first game

On 19th September in Riga our team “Gravicappa” took part in the first game of the newly established Students’ League of the intellectual games “What? When? Where?”.

The Students’ League was established by the initiative and support of the Riga’s Club of Intellectual games and its main aims are involvement of students into the intellectual games’ movement, development of new teams and players, as well as participation in the international students’ championships.

Dublis 2007

From 14th till 16th of September JASMA already for the third time took part in outdoor competitions Dublis 2007, organised by “Young Falcons”.

9th game of Riga Cup

On 13th September at the 9th Intellectual game “What? When? Where?” of Riga Cup, our team [JASMA] has got 6th place, “Gravicappa” is on 26th place.

“The combined Latvian Curling Team” in Tartu

On 9th September in Tartu (Estonia) several representatives from the teams [JASMA] and “Gravicappa” were taking part in the intellectual game “What? Where? When?” in the frame of International synchronous “Cup of Eilat”. Our players were part of the team “The combined Latvian Curling’s Team” and has got the 1st place among 12 teams!

Canoe trip on Gauja

On 1st and 2nd September we were making a canoe trip on the river Gauja, for 2 days making the distance from Cesis to Sigulda.

Hike to Gaiziņkalns

On 25th-26th of August several activists from our organisation were in the hike from Ergļi to Madona, with camping at the Latvia’s highest point – hill Gaiziņkalns (311.2 m).

International Youth Day

On 12th August in Riga, in the Congress House and in the Kronvald’s Park celebration of International Youth Day and Day of Youth Culture took place. JASMA was actively participating in this event.

7th game of Riga Cup

On 26th of July on 7th Intellectual game “What? When? Where?” of Riga Cup, our team [JASMA] has got 8th place, “Gravicappa” this time is on 28th place.

Wizards and Witches

From 16th to 23rd of July in a place called Pļavas JASMA organized an international youth exchange „Wizards and Witches” together with partners from Belarus, Ukraine and Estonia. The theme was magic in different cultures, stereotypes, human rights and intercultural learning.

Also the exchange was a part of the "All Different - All Equal" campaign.

Big thanks to everyone who organized, supported and cooperated with us, especially all the group leaders.

The exchange project was sponsored by European Union's Non-formal education program „Youth”.

Moving exchange «Move Ya Rights!»

From 1st to 12th of July a youth group from our organization actively participated in an international youth exchange «Move Ya Rights!». Together with youngsters from Lithuania, Belarus and Russia we discussed themes like human rights - for instance the right for mobility - youth active participation, intercultural education. There was also much creativity - theater, graffiti, Loesje-texts.
Special feature of this exchange was its mobility - in 12 days we crossed 6 borders and visited 4 countries (our project partners').

6th game of Riga Cup

On 28th of June 6th Intellectual game “What? When? Where?” of Riga Cup took place. [JASMA] is on 8th place, “Gravicappa” is on 15th!

5th game of Riga Cup

Yesterday, on 31st of May, on 5th Intellectual game “What? When? Where?” of Riga Cup, our team [JASMA] playing only with 4 players, has got 2nd place! “Gravicappa” this time is on 19th place (this is among 31 teams played).

Sparrow path 2007

Our team came back from the adventure competitions with RPG elements "Sparrow path 2007", which was organised by youth NGO “Young Falcons” on May 19-20.

We got the 1st place, so congratulations to everybody, who took part and made it happen!

“The Baltic Coast” 3rd game

Today, 3rd Intellectual game “What? When? Where?” in the frame of International synchronous cup “The Baltic Coast”. [JASMA] got 13th place.

International training course “Take Your Part!”

From 21st till 29th of April, in Sigulda (Latvia), JASMA has organised the international training course “Take Your Part!” in close co-operation with organisations “Austeja Friends” (Lithuania), “Childhood Academy” (Estonia) and Youth Centre of Jewish Community of Lubeck (Germany).

4th game of Riga Cup

Yesterday on 4th intellectual game “What? When? Where?” of Riga Cup 2007 both of our teams have gained great results: [JASMA] won 3rd place and got the cake as a prize, meanwhile, “Gravicappa” got 23rd place and received the bottle of Champaigne as the author of the most funny answer in this game.

After the game, both prizes were combined and used by our teams :)

“Stop watching – Start Doing!” in Rezekne and Daugavpils

In the framework of the project “Stop watching – Start Doing!” on 14th and 15 of April JASMA has conducted two seminars / role-playing games in Rezekne and Daugavpils.

Our special thanx to Vija Grishina from the Youth Open Centre “JACis” – for organising of the whole thing in Rezekne, and to Kristine Romanovska – for the seminar in Daugavpils!
